Lanzo Intelvi

Lanzo d'Intelvi is not only the main town, and highest in the valley, but also the most important for tourism, with big hotels, numerous villas and sports facilities.

The country, consisting of the fraction of Scaria and village of Predale, lies in an idyllic location amidst meadows and forests of beech and chestnut trees on the west side of the valley, on the steep slope that descends to the village of Arogno and Maroggia, after crossing the Val Mara.

A short distance from Lanzo, along carriage comfortable, you can achieve two very famous viewpoint overlooking Lake Lugano and the Alps: one of them is the Sighignola, m. 1300, which looks towards Lugano and Capolago, a truly wonderful scenery.
